Acceptance of these terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Stashi iPhone app and its website (together, the "Service"), provided by Stashi ("we", "us", "our").

By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a legally binding contract to use the Service.

By using the Service you confirm that any information you provide is accurate and that you have the right to act on behalf of any business you register.

Your account

You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for all activity under your account. Tell us promptly if you believe your account has been compromised.

When you invite team members to your business, you are responsible for the people you invite and for ensuring they have authority to access the receipts you share.

The Service

Stashi is a tool that helps you capture, store, organise and share your business receipts, extract details using AI, and produce accountant-ready exports.

We may change, suspend or remove features of the Service at any time to improve it, fix problems, or respond to legal or technical requirements. Where a change is significant, we will let you know through the app or by email.

Subscriptions and billing

Stashi offers paid plans (currently Lite, Plus and Business) with monthly or yearly billing. Prices are shown in the app and include VAT where applicable.

When you buy a paid plan, payment in the iOS app is handled by Apple, with RevenueCat used to verify subscription access. Your subscription is tied to your account and your business.

Free scans and trials

Every account starts with a limited number of free AI scans so you can try the Service before paying. Free scans are personal to you, are not cumulative, and may be changed or withdrawn at any time.

Any free trial or promotional allowance is offered at our discretion and does not guarantee ongoing availability.

Renewal and cancellation

Paid subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period until you cancel. You can cancel anytime from your account management options.

When you cancel, access to your paid features continues until the end of the period you have already paid for. After that your account returns to the free plan. Your receipts remain stored and accessible to you.

Refunds

Fees are generally non-refundable except where required by law. If you believe a charge was made in error, contact us using the details below and we will review it fairly.

Acceptable use

You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and only with content you have the right to store. You must not upload material that is illegal, infringes someone else's rights, or contains harmful or malicious code.

You must not attempt to access data that does not belong to you, reverse engineer the Service, overload it, or use it in a way that could damage or disrupt it.

Your content and receipts

You own the receipts and other content you upload ("Your Content"). You give us the limited right to store, process and display Your Content only as needed to run the Service for you, including extracting data, creating exports, and creating the PDFs of receipts you choose to share.

You are responsible for Your Content and for ensuring it is accurate and lawful. Stashi does not claim ownership of Your Content.

AI extraction accuracy

Receipt details extracted by our AI are suggestions only and may not be accurate. You are responsible for reviewing and correcting extracted data before relying on it.

Stashi is not responsible for errors in extracted receipt data that you do not review.

No accounting or tax advice

Stashi helps you store and organise your business receipts and prepare information for your accountant. It is not accounting, tax or financial advice, and it is not HMRC-approved software.

Whether an expense is deductible or how it should be treated is a matter for you and your accountant. Stashi does not guarantee any tax outcome.

Intellectual property

The Service, its design, branding and software are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws. These Terms do not give you any rights to our trademarks, logos or content except as needed to use the Service as intended.

Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent permitted by law, we make no warranties that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that receipt data will always be accurate or complete.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, neither Stashi nor its providers shall be liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential losses arising from your use of the Service.

Our total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to the Service is limited to the amount you have paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or, if you have not paid, to a nominal amount. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, such as liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence.

Indemnity

You agree to indemnify us against any claims, losses or costs arising from your misuse of the Service, your breach of these Terms, or Your Content that infringes the rights of others.

Termination

You can stop using the Service and delete your account at any time from the Account screen. Your account is permanently deleted, with your receipts and data, 14 days later; signing back in before then cancels the deletion.

We may suspend or close your account if you breach these Terms, if your account is inactive for a prolonged period, or where required to protect the Service or other users.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes through the app or by email, and the "last updated" date will reflect when the change took effect. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated Terms.

Governing law

These Terms and any dispute arising out of them are governed by the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction over any such dispute.
