Delete your account

This page explains how to delete your Stashi account and the data linked to it. Stashi is a receipt app for self-employed tradespeople and small businesses in the United Kingdom.

Delete your account in the app

1. Open Stashi and sign in.

2. Go to the Account screen and tap Delete account.

3. Confirm that you want to delete your account.

Your account is then scheduled for deletion 14 days later. If you change your mind, sign back in before the 14 days are up and the deletion is cancelled.

Request deletion by email

If you can't open the app or have already uninstalled it, email support@stashiapp.com from the email address on your account, with the subject line Delete my Stashi account. We may contact you to confirm the request comes from you, and we will complete it within one month.

What gets deleted

After the 14-day period we permanently delete:

• Your account, name, email address and sign-in details

• Your business name and type

• All receipt photos and the details read from them (merchant, date, amounts, VAT, category)

• Your folders, accountant exports and any receipt PDFs we hold

• Your device's push notification token

What we may keep

Records we are legally required to keep, such as subscription and payment records for tax and accounting, are kept only for as long as the law requires.

Receipts you added to someone else's business library as a team member belong to that business, so they stay in its library.

Receipt PDFs you have already sent to other people stay with them. We can't withdraw copies someone else has received.

Before you delete

Deletion is permanent once the 14 days have passed. Export anything you need, for example an accountant export, before you delete your account.

Deleting your account does not cancel a paid subscription. Cancel it first in the Google Play Store (Payments & subscriptions) or, on iPhone, in your Apple ID subscription settings.
